Wu Wei is the Deputy General Manager of UPDIS, Technical Director (planning), and serves as an external tutor for Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Campus since 2020. He has led and completed more than 150 planning, design and research projects, and accumulated rich practical experience in national territorial and spatial planning, strategy research, urban renewal planning and unit design, urban and rural development coordination, and rural planning. Having carried out implementation projects in many key strategic areas across China, he specializes in using comprehensive planning and full-process design thinking to promote integrated planning and design implementation, development and construction, and solve urban problems in targeted and pragmatic manner.

He has won 15 national and provincial planning and design excellence awards (including 3 first prizes, 8 second prizes, and 5 third prizes), more than 30 city- and institute-level awards, and published nearly 20 academic papers in core journals and at academic conferences. He has been invited to participate in academic exchanges and give lectures on regional coordinated development, innovative formulation of national spatial plans, urban renewal planning practice, etc.
