Yu Lu is the President and Chief Ecological Director of UPDIS. She is Deputy Secretary-General of Water, Drainage and Ecological Environment Subgroup of the Guangdong Engineering Exploration & Design Association, and Vice President of Shenzhen Women in Science and Technology Workers’ Association.

She has long been committed to the practice and propagation of the Ecological Civilization concept, led and participated in more than 400 research projects and technical services in urban and rural ecological environment, infrastructure planning and design, and other fields. She owns 15 patent rights and has won more than 60 national, provincial and city-level awards, authored 11 academic publications, and published more than 10 standards and over 20 academic papers.

Also, she has won titles of "National Outstanding Youth in Water Industry", "Shenzhen's Top 10 Oustanding Youth", "Guangdong Positive and Kind-hearted Young People", "Shenzhen Reserve Talent", first batch of High-level Scientific and Technological Innovation Young Talents of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and "Master of Engineering, Survey and Design, Shenzhen" and more.
