On 17 September, 2026, a delegation from the Hungarian Oil and Gas Company (MOL Group) visited the Urban Planning & Design Institute of Shenzhen Co., Ltd. (UPDIS). Mr. Wu Wei, Deputy General Manager of UPDIS, hosted the delegation. Both sides exchanged views on their respective projects and priorities, and discussed areas of shared interest.


       During the meeting, discussions focused on digital transformation, practical applications of artificial intelligence, and the application of new energy technologies. The Hungarian delegation spoke highly of Shenzhen's achievements in rapid and high-quality development over more than four decades of reform and opening-up, noting that UPDIS's experience in applying digital technologies to planning projects of different types and at different spatial scales provided valuable reference. The delegation also expressed interest in learning more about Shenzhen's innovative experience in solid waste treatment and the planning and development of Environmental Parks.


       This exchange deepened both sides' understanding of each other's capabilities and cooperation needs and laid a solid foundation for practical cooperation in future. Going forward, UPDIS will continue to draw on its integrated professional strengths in urban planning, digital technologies, and energy infrastructure, actively develop concrete areas of cooperation, and contribute its expertise to the green and low-carbon transition of the energy industry and sustainable urban development.
