The project is located at the former Hangzhou Heavy Machinery Factory in Xiacheng District, Hangzhou. Studies of commercial composition, proportion of functions and market research were completed in the early planning stage. At design stage, the strategy is to preserve and transform industrial relics, create urban place spirits, highlight modern industrial culture, and promote organic urban renewal. The internal industrial building relics are carefully treated and their unique functions, space and economic value are fully maximized. At the same time, propelled by Hangzhou's commercial trend of "big business + big commerce", the preservation and transformation of industrial relics and the emerging urban commercial functions are fully integrated to create a new world of innovation and entrepreneurship with a quinessential Hangzhou character.
