From 9-12 December 2023, UPDIS was invited by Indonesia's Nusantara Capital Authority and the Ministry of Maritime and Investment Affairs to visit and understand the planning and construction of Indonesia's new capital.
During the visit, UPDIS delegates conducted field surveys of Nusantara's admin and financial center (under construction), participated in the "Indonesia New Capital International Financial Center Workshop," and shared insights from the planning and development of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed under the witness of officials from Shenzhen’s Development and Reform Commission and the Indonesia's Nusantara Capital Authority.
This visit enabled UPDIS to gain deeper insights into the planning and construction of Indonesia's new capital. Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration, especially in areas such as planning experience exchange, urban planning management training, regional coordination and land development strategies, sustainable development, sponge city, low-carbon city, and smart city.
