Top-Level Smart City Design Study of New Marine City
Shenzhen’s New Marine City is committed to creating a global strategic collaboration platform for marine governance and establishing China's benchmark for marine ecological civilization. It aims to lead the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in marine science and innovation while serving as the core area for Shenzhen’s integrated marine strategic development and its goal to become a global marine city hub. New Marine City is Shenzhen's ideal platform to establish as a "global benchmark for new smart cities". From the initial planning and construction stages, the area can proactively plan for smart city development, enabling integrated lifecycle management spanning "land reclamation–planning and design–development and construction–investment promotion–operations management". This approach explores new models for urban planning and governance, creating a showcase for smart cities and a demonstration for future urban scenarios.
The project leverages cutting-edge technologies and development concepts, drawing on advanced practices from both domestic and international experiences. It envisions unique and pioneering future life scenarios for New Marine City and proposes a strategic framework and implementation pathway for its smart city development. This effort aims to lead in the planning and construction of new smart cities, positioning New Marine City as a new hallmark of a "city of the future" and a "city of intelligence".
