The Yangtze River Delta Integrated Demonstration Zone Executive Committee has initiated research on mechanisms for realizing ecological values and the development of an automated Gross Environment Product (GEP) accounting platform. Based on the ecological characteristics and development requirements of the demonstration zone, UPDIS has thoroughly assessed the zone's ecological assets and analyzed the theoretical framework. We developed an indicator system for environment product value accounting and an automated, open, collaborative, and secure accounting platform.
This platform enables automated accounting of various ecosystem services, such as material products, water conservation, flood regulation, air purification, water quality improvement, and climate regulation. By leveraging geospatial information, data analysis, and other technologies, the platform facilitates the integration, extraction, fusion, visualization, analysis, and governance of multi-source, multi-dimensional statistical and monitoring data within the demonstration zone. As a robust tool for institutionalizing environment product accounting, it drives the realization of ecological product value and promotes eco-green integrated development.
