In 2015, the Urban and Rural Planning Bureau of Zhongshan City organized the "Research on Index System of Low Carbon Ecological City in Zhongshan City", to find out the low carbon ecological city construction foundation of Zhongshan city and clarify its future development direction and goals, as well as provide research support for Zhongshan to promote itself as "National Ecological Civilization Demonstration City".
